Event Description
A vareint play format, as devised by STGs Erik. The rules are as follows.
Who gets to choose who goes first
The player with the smallest hand size CHOOSES who goes first. If this value is tied, players randomly decide which player chooses who goes first. This is decided AFTER players draw their initial hands.
Cycling
When players cycle their deck, they remove a number of cards from the game equal to twice their hand size.
Mulligan
There is no Mulligan in Eriks Mid South Rules.
Card Draw
Instead of discarding 1 card in the review step we allow players to discard any number of cards. The player taking his first turn would not get the option of the review step. The player going second of course would.
All decks can only use cards from Block 2 of UFS. Cards which have the Shuriken symbol ONLY. The exception are character cards, which are restricted in another manner.

The event will be swiss, with three to four rounds depending on number of entrants.
There is no entry fee, with the Top 6 players receiving one of the new Promo characters from either Street Fighter, Soul Calibur, Darkstalkers, King of Fighters or Samurai Shodown.
In addition, all entrants will also receive a free foil League card, as this event also doubles as our League events with the winner of the night getting a winning league card.
Start time is approximately 6.30pm, though if we know people running a little late we will hold the event back for a few minutes.
